Meljens Design Challenge#35-Buttons and Bows

Made this for a lil girl at Church to let her know what a great job she did on her talk in Primary (Sunday School) yesterday. This image just reminded me of her. She is the only girl with 6 brothers. Hoping she enjoys getting something girly. I love lil girls in overalls, braids and bows. This image and the flower at the bottom are from Meljens.

Mel Jens Challenge #35 'Buttons and Bows'

Two of My Favorite Things....Buttons and Bows. Made a Thank You card for a neighbor and used 2 of Meljens Freebies, Frosty and Starry Holly, thought he was so cute. Made him 3-D (more obvious in person) by cutting out his hat and his carrot nose and popping up on dimensionals, popped up the holly on his hat a 2nd time and the corner Holly too. Used to do this as a kid when crafting with my Mom in the 70's with Holly Hobbie wrapping paper and some kind of silicone glue. (Oops, just aged myself). Added ribbon and a Bow and lots of Buttons, thought teeny red buttons for the Holly Berries was a natural. And of course lots of FROSTY 'stickles' glitter so Frosty was really Frosty. I liked the Red and Blue with the Plaid for this card. Topped it all off with a snowflake and another button. Thanks for the fun challenge ladies and for the Freebie Digital Stamp. (My Neighbor has already called to let me know she enjoyed the card and of course the homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies- My Boys say they are the World's Best, probably just to be sure I will make them again.)

Wish upon a Christmas Star MelJens #34

This challenge asked for 'Sparkle & Shine'. Used 'stickles' glitter on the star and snowflakes as well as under image for snow. Added 'Sparkle Fluff' to the Santa Hats for a bit of sparkly-fuzzy texture. A Shiny Red Bow to finish it off. I fell in love with this image from Di's Digi Downloads, it expresses the warmth and love of family, friends and the Christmas Season.

Joy is in the Giving ~ DPDC2 and Meljens #34-

Made this card for Doodle Pantry's Design Challenge 2 and also MeljensDC#34. Doodle Pantry's 'Lil Birdie' images always bring me a smile. I used their newly re-released Happy Birdie 2 and the new Santa Accessories Digital Images. Popped up the gifts on dimensionals for a 3-D look. Incorporated the Foliage element for the Challenge with holly berry paper, the package top and added holly at corner. Thought this lil guy well represented the wonder of Christmas and the joy of giving a gift that is well received. Wanted to include the idea to have the card shaped like a package. Added 'Stickles' Glitter here and there and 'Sparkly Fluff' to the Santa Hat Trim for some texture and shiny Bling. Tied up the whole card with a Festive Red Ribbon.
