Luck O' the Irish

These LUCKY little images are sure to brighten anyone's day and that's no BLARNEY. MelJen's Designs has just released their new images for this week. So cute, you just want to get up and do a little Irish jig yourself.
Lucky for me she also offered this pre-colored image, SHAMROCK BEAR
...It's been a crazy week and crafting time has been at a premium. This fit the bill perfectly. Love this lil pre-colored bear--so bear-y cute. I used Glossy Accents on the shamrock, hat and his pot-o-gold, Gold Stickles on his hat buckle and gold, and just a bit of Stardust Stickles here and there.

Be sure to stop by MelJen's to take a peek at her new releases and join us for this week's GREEN Challenge.

Here's hoping you have a LUCKY DAY and HAPPY CREATING...

Girly Time

3 of my 5 Grandgirlies have been visiting Grandma and Pop-Pop from Texas. Grandpa, Uncle Dave and Uncle Joe had to be out of town Saturday so we had a Girly Time Day. We decided to sew skirts for Church the next day. We found some instructions on-line and went to town. I've never been able to sew for girls before and we had fun. They were pretty excited and I have to admit I was too. Unfortunately Miss Jade-o ran into the bathroom doorknob and is sporting quite the Goose Egg on her forehead. Jade-4 yrs. Sage-5 yrs. Rane-2yrs

In like a Lion.... (Doodle Pantry)

Well....perhaps not, but I'm not too SHEEPISH to announce that I've been given the opportunity to be on the Doodle Pantry Creative Team for the next 6 months. I've enjoyed using Laurie's adorable images since I discovered them. I am particulary fond on her Sheep, Birdies and worms....they crack me up and always bring a smile when I work with them. So this is my first official project for Doodle Pantry.

I decided to use some of Laurie's Pre-Colored images and chose the Sheep, Easter Basket, and one of the digital papers and sentiments included in the set EASTER SHEEP. With 3 grandgirlies, ages 5,4 and 2 up for a visit, along with our 3 oldest boys all home for a visit the past 2 weeks-I've been more than pressed for time and these just fit the bill perfectly. I've never worked with a pre-colored image before and it was really a lot of fun. Laurie also offers these same images in B/W outline for coloring as well. You can see, they are definitely EGG-stra Special.

Make sure you check out all of Doodle Pantry's New Releases, cute, Cute, CUTE! and the new Challenge.

Animal Crackers - Meljen's Thursday

I went to the Animal Fair..... Animal Crackers in my soup.....
Animals, animals everywhere....
Another fun fun release from Meljen's Designs this week.

We all have a bit of rain in our lives now and again and when those storms come round I've always found it helps to 'play in the puddles', to find joy in our most important blessings and treasures, family, friends, life and this amazing world we live in.

I immediately fell in love with Little Lovey Duck and remembered last week's free cloud image and also another freebie, the umbrella. Paper pieced the umbrella and used a bit of 'Glossy Accents' on the umbrella handle, those adorable galoshes and the duck's bill. Love the stripey socks on this guy.

Thanks for stopping in and be sure to check out Melissa's New Images and this week's new challenge. If you didn't pick up Monday's Freebie you can find it here.

Happy Creating....

After the Rain...

I love this week's new releases from Meljen's Designs. These Lil Noah Images really caught my imagination.
You can find these images and the new challenge for this week HERE.

When I first saw these images I immediately thought of a Quilt. It was my first thought and it seemed to have stuck. I love the sentiment on this first card, it was rolling around in my brain somewhere and immediately came to mind. "AFTER THE RAIN....A RAINBOW. HIS PROMISES ARE SURE." I used paper piecing on the front of this card.

For my Chessa Jean

A Birthday Card for the February Birthday Girl.
Decided to give an Easel Card a try for my Granddaughter's 5th Birthday. Chessa Jean is such a teeny tiny lil mouse...very quiet and shy as well as little, takes after her Mom who is 4'11" and if she was dripping wet and wearing full comabat gear she might weigh 90 lbs. after a big meal. Good thing I adore my DIL or I'd have to do something drastic to her, skinny lil thing. Life can be so Unfair.... I always wanted to be tiny and petite, instead I was born an Amazon-Amazon Wide that is.

For this card I used the new Meljen's Designs Digital Image Birthday Cake Mouse. It's just toooo cute in my opinion.
A Tutorial for an Easel card can be found Here.

Happy creating and thanks for stopping by...

It's a Party....

Here are a few projects I did with these images. So fun to work with.
I love the little mice so we will start with them. This first card uses 'Birthday Cup Mouse'.

This next image of Birthday Cake Mouse just cracks me up, He's so cute and I love the little dab of frosting on his head.

Topsy Turvy Birthday Cake was a lot of fun, so very versatile.
.And Lastly I used both Party Penguin and Stitched Celebration for this Joy-Fold Card. A great easy to follow Tutorial can be found at Splitcoaststampers, a great site with wonderful tutorials and resources.
So here's hoping your day is filled with fun and surprises and remember to come join with us in this week's challenge at MelJen's Designs.
