A Purrr-fect Christmas Meljens Design Chall #36-Again

I am so loving this particular sketch challenge. I just can't seem to get enough of it. I keep finding images that I want to put together. The big question is will I ever be able to turn it the way it was originally posted, horizontal? I keep trying, but....
The Kitty, Sentiment and the Ornaments were Freebies that I picked up somewhere the other day. I feel terrible that I somehow didn't keep track of who did them. Just a wee bit of stickles this time on the ornaments after they were colored, cut out and then POPped up with dimensionals. Thought the ornaments needed a bit of gold cord to 'hang' by. Again with the SPARKLE FLUFF on the hat trim.

Ewe are Loved ~ DPDC #3

I just LOVE these lil sheep (Mother Sheep and Lamb) from 'Doodle Pantry'. Thought this made a cute card for a sweet new baby girl. Can't get enough of BUTTONS and BOWS....As a last minute thought I added a bit of 'STARDUST STICKLES' to their Wool. I really liked how it made them extra Wooly. As always colored with Prismacolors and Gamsol.

MelJens #36 Sketch-Precious Gifts

Yes...a bit of Snow and lots of Cold here in North Platte Ne-BRRRRR-aska, especially for this Southern California Transplant. Crazy, but they say some times it gets too cold to snow, HUH? Winter came later than last year, but I'm still freezing to death even with the heater on...I don't have as much internal insulation as I did last winter, quite a bit less actually (80 lbs. less) but believe me I'm not complaining, just hoping to keep it off during the Holidays, then loose that last 20. I am COLD though, except when I am experiencing the DOUBLE I (Internal Inferno-Hot Flashes). Jeepers, I sure am whiny this morning....
On the bright side....Thoughts of my 5 Girlies (granddaughters) always warm my heart, they are truly precious gifts, long awaited after raising 5 boys. I do LOVE my boys though...Had to tweak this sketch a bit as I did the background of the card and then found my image didn't fit like I wanted it to. Hope this card still meets the Sketch Challenge criteria. Didn't have a template to cut out an oval like the sketch so decided to make the image into a tag. Colored Meljens images 'North Pole Critters' 'Starry Holly' and 'Cozy Mittens' with 'Prismacolors' and 'Gamsol'. Added lots of 'Stickles' glitter here and there and everywhere and also a bit of 'Sparkly Fluff' on bunny's tail, bear's hat and the cuff of the little mittens. Cut out 1/2 of the image for Holly and Mitten to POP up on dimensionals for 3-D effect. I love this particular snowflake punch from 'Martha Stewart'.

Meljens Design Challenge#35-Buttons and Bows

Made this for a lil girl at Church to let her know what a great job she did on her talk in Primary (Sunday School) yesterday. This image just reminded me of her. She is the only girl with 6 brothers. Hoping she enjoys getting something girly. I love lil girls in overalls, braids and bows. This image and the flower at the bottom are from Meljens.

Mel Jens Challenge #35 'Buttons and Bows'

Two of My Favorite Things....Buttons and Bows. Made a Thank You card for a neighbor and used 2 of Meljens Freebies, Frosty and Starry Holly, thought he was so cute. Made him 3-D (more obvious in person) by cutting out his hat and his carrot nose and popping up on dimensionals, popped up the holly on his hat a 2nd time and the corner Holly too. Used to do this as a kid when crafting with my Mom in the 70's with Holly Hobbie wrapping paper and some kind of silicone glue. (Oops, just aged myself). Added ribbon and a Bow and lots of Buttons, thought teeny red buttons for the Holly Berries was a natural. And of course lots of FROSTY 'stickles' glitter so Frosty was really Frosty. I liked the Red and Blue with the Plaid for this card. Topped it all off with a snowflake and another button. Thanks for the fun challenge ladies and for the Freebie Digital Stamp. (My Neighbor has already called to let me know she enjoyed the card and of course the homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies- My Boys say they are the World's Best, probably just to be sure I will make them again.)

Wish upon a Christmas Star MelJens #34

This challenge asked for 'Sparkle & Shine'. Used 'stickles' glitter on the star and snowflakes as well as under image for snow. Added 'Sparkle Fluff' to the Santa Hats for a bit of sparkly-fuzzy texture. A Shiny Red Bow to finish it off. I fell in love with this image from Di's Digi Downloads, it expresses the warmth and love of family, friends and the Christmas Season.

Joy is in the Giving ~ DPDC2 and Meljens #34-

Made this card for Doodle Pantry's Design Challenge 2 and also MeljensDC#34. Doodle Pantry's 'Lil Birdie' images always bring me a smile. I used their newly re-released Happy Birdie 2 and the new Santa Accessories Digital Images. Popped up the gifts on dimensionals for a 3-D look. Incorporated the Foliage element for the Challenge with holly berry paper, the package top and added holly at corner. Thought this lil guy well represented the wonder of Christmas and the joy of giving a gift that is well received. Wanted to include the idea to have the card shaped like a package. Added 'Stickles' Glitter here and there and 'Sparkly Fluff' to the Santa Hat Trim for some texture and shiny Bling. Tied up the whole card with a Festive Red Ribbon.
