LOVE BIRDS - MelJens Designs

Made this for a cute newlywed couple when I attended their wedding shower. It was the first time I tried a Triangle Tri-Fold Card at it was a lot of fun and the tutorial I found made it very easy to do. The images are Meljens Designs digital images. I used LOVEBIRDS for the front of the card, SWEET LACE HEART for the left inside, it's a wonderful image to use to personalize a project, and GARDEN BIRD HOUSE for the center panel of the card inside. I love Melissa Jenkins' Images.

You LIGHT Up My Life

When I saw this Freebie Digital Image offered by Meljens Designs, the song, You Light Up My Life, immediately popped into my head. It was THE song when I was in High School. (Whoa baby am I dating myself.) What a cute cute image. Thought it would be fun to pair this 'Lil Lightbulb' with her 'Sweet Lace Heart' image and add the sentiment on it. Digital Images are soooo incredibly versatile. Do I ever do a card lately that I don't add a bit of 'stickles' glitter glue to? The bottom of the lightbulb has a bit of 'Glossy Accents' added to it as well. Found these cute lil brads in a box of assorted metallic brads at Walmart in the stationary section with the office supplies, we're talking CHEAP. (Just the way I like it)

Some-BUNNY has a Birthday!

I love the Designer Paper I used on this card I made for a friend's birthday; she's not been feeling well and I hoped this would brighten her day. The bunny digital image and sentiment were freebies that were offered online. Is it too obvious that I LOVE buttons?

A Purrr-fect Birthday

This card was for a dear friend's Birthday, we had such a great visit and chat while at lunch that day. What a blessing good friends are in our lives. This card features several digital images from Meljens Designs. I love digital images, you can size them to the needs of your project, crop them, flip the image, etc to tweak it to your needs. So very versatile and less expensive than your traditional 'STAMP'.
The focal image is a digital image titled 'A girl and her kitty', the cupcake is a crop of 'Cupcake Trio' - I printed 2 of the image, cut-out and then cut apart one of the images and layered with a dimensional to make it 3-D. The flowers are 'Button Daisy', colored and then cut out. Had to add some lil buttons and liberally sprinkle with 'Stickles' glitter glue.

Birthday R&R

It's often hard to find a GUY image, but this one fits the bill. A freebie image from THE DIGI SHACK, the gift and cupcake are other freebie images that I cut out and layered over the original image. I know it's for a guy, but added a bit of Glossy Accents to the remote and the gift bow and what's a cupcake without a bit of sprinkles (Stickles glitter glue). Overall not too shabby for a GUY Birthday.

Happy Birthday to EWE

Used Loving EWE and Sweet Heart Lace images from Meljen's Designs for this Birthday card. Hard to tell from the photo but the Ewe is layered in 3-D with 4 layers (each popped up with dimensional tape), entire image, body, head, top fluff and body heart. The Lacy Heart is popped up as well. I love the blank heart so personalized sentiments can be added. As always, stickles glitter glue here and there. I really like the looks of it on the outer trim of the heart, makes it look lacy. When I do 3-d cutouts of images, especially those with black outlining, I find it helpful to run around the cut edges with a black sharpie, the image just looks so much crisper. My ink always flakes off a bit where I cut.

Maria N Brad

Wow! It's been forever since I have posted a card....I was really excited about doing this one, had in mind what I wanted to do and just hoped it would look like I envisioned. Wished to make a very special wedding card for a very very sweet young couple. I Wanted to include lots of elements from the Doodle Pantry sets, Sheep Squeeze, Critter Tops and Happy Sheep. Also wanted to include extras like the Groom's Bow Tie, and the Bride's Veil, lots of lace, ribbon, pearls and whatever else, as well as personalize with their names. Oh....and lots of Stickles of course. I love the wool of the sheep with Stickles added. On the inside flipped one of the sheep for that "FIRST WALTZ". Also able to add the 2 sheep to the blank heart and insert the sentiment. Overall, I'm pleased and excited to give to the newlyweds, maybe I won't even put it in an envelope but firmly attach directly to my wrapped gift, without tape of course. I know I'm such a SHAMEFUL show-off...
