Add a lil Color to your Day

Nothing like a bit of 'color' to brighten even the dreariest of Winter Days. MelJens's Designs is holding a color challenge featuring this 'gumball brights' color palette.

I love Melissa's image, Big Sweater Kid. He is so fun to color up in big bright bold colors that are sure to add some sunshine to any one's day, even if there is snow outside.

So 'chews' (sorry... I could not resist a perfectly good pun) your favorite MelJens image and a few gumball bright colors and join us for this week's 'color challenge'.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you find a bit of color to brighten your day and lighten your heart.

Snow Day Fun!! How 'SWEET' it is....

We had a snow day on Friday and I was able to spend it crafting away all cozy with a cup of cocoa, my markers, and my favorite shows on the DVR. Woohoo! Let's here it for snow days!! I can play and still have Sat to clean and get ready for Sunday.
Melissa at Meljen's Designs has the cutest lil fuzzy cupcakes that are brand spankin' new at her shop. I made this lil Mousie cupcake for my sweet lil granddaughter Chessa Jean. Her Birthday is this next week.

This image was great for 3-D layers and the dimension of it is great fun. I popped up the frosting and the cupcake liner.

Thanks, for stopping by and Happy Creating.  Have a 'SWEET' Day...

Flowers for You....

I needed a card for a friend who has recently suffered an unexpected death in her extended family. This image from Mo's Digital Pencil was perfect. This digital stamp is titled 'Sorry Shana'. I think she is so very very sweet and just the thing to wish someone Comfort and that Peace which passeth all understanding.
(Philippians 4:7) and let them know they are in your thoughts and prayers.
I really like the purple and lime green color palette on this. Her knobby lil knees and stripey socks bring a smile to my heart. Hopefully this will bring a hug to my coworker.

Thank You for stopping by and May you always find comfort and peace in times of challenge and trial.

Whenever I hear the Song of a Bird (DT)

I found this sweet little image, Spring Swing, over at the Paper Shelter and just had to try my hand at coloring it up and seeing what I could do with it. I was pleased with the end result and it was so much fun to color I cannot possibly describe.

One of my lil granddaughters has long long blonde hair with a bit of gorgeous curl so I made this for my lil chessa. She is such a sweet gentle lil soul and this reminded me of her. As a side note, seems if there is a bird in a picture I just have to color it as a robin. Every year I just love to see the Robins come out in spring. It is impossible for me to watch them hopping around on the lawn and not smile till it hurts and I find myself chuckling out loud. They never fail to brighten my day and lighten my heart.

I was reminded of one of my favorite songs as a child that I have never outgrown.

I know Heavenly Father Loves Me
Whenever I hear the song of a bird or look at the blue, blue sky, Whenever I feel the rain on my face or the wind as it rushes by, Whenever I touch a velvet rose or walk by our lilac tree, I’m glad that I live in this beautiful world, Heavenly Father created for me.

Thank You for stopping by and Happy Creating…..

The Joy of Color

I think one of my greatest inspirations when it comes to creating my digital stamp projects is the image itself. B/W Digital Stamps just cry out for me to grab something to color them in with.Guess I am still a lil girl at heart and I just love to color, to see something in black and white lines come alive. Some of my fondest memories as a child where of sitting with my sister at the feet of my great Aunt Dee and coloring while she sat in her chair and watched a bit of television, probably Art Linkletter or Merv Griffin.  She always had a special place on her bookshelf with color books just for us and one of the Giant boxes of Crayola Crayons. All those color choices and a crayon sharpener in the back of the box. This lil girl was in Heaven.

This wee lil image from Melissa at MelJens Designs, entitled Little Teenie, just made me smile as I added bright greens, oranges and a bit of purple. Naturally a brightly colored image deserves an equally bright and colorful background to find a home on.

Another set of images that just had to have lots of bright bold color: Turtle's Little Star and Starfish Buddies

There is not one blade of grass, there is no color in this world that is not intended to make us rejoice.  ~ John Calvin

Thank You for stopping by and I hope your day is filled with sunshine and color, no matter what the weather in your neck of the woods.
